On behalf of the organizing committee, I would like to invite you to participate in the 10th EU-Japan Joint Symposium on Plasma Processing (JSPP2017), which will be held at Bankoku Shinryokan Conference Hall at Okinawa, Japan, from the 4th to7th of December, 2017. The EU-Japan JSPP is an international symposium open to anyone from around the world (not limited to those from EU or Japan) who is interested in science and technologies of plasma processing and other related disciplines. It covers a broad range of science and technologies related to plasmas processing. In addition to the traditional sessions of the EU-Japan JSPP, we organize the Special Sessions on “Plasma-Liquid Interactions” and “Plasma Application to Agriculture.” These two areas have shown rapid growth in recent years with regard to applications of plasma technologies to medicine and biology. I hope more new people join the community of the EU-Japan JSPP through the Special Sessions for the very exciting new areas.
This year the EU-Japan JSPP will be held concurrently with The 82nd IUVSTA Workshop on Plasma-based Atomic Layer Processes. The IUVSTA Workshop focuses on both basic science and technological applications for atomic layer deposition (ALD), atomic layer etching (ALE), and other surface processes with atomic-scale accuracy using plasmas. All registered participants of the EU-Japan JSPP can attend the sessions of IUVSTA Workshop free of charge. The IUVSTA Workshop is designed to offer a specialized venue for in-depth discussion on atomic layer processes (ALP) among the experts but I am sure it will also provide other participants with a glimpse into this rapidly developing field.
I would like to thank you for your interest in this Symposium and look forward to seeing you during the Symposium.
